For ease of planting extra small seeds, like carrots, tear a strip of newspaper so its about 1″ wide and as long as the paper. Mix up a light flour and water mixture, mark out your seed spacing on the strip of newspaper, then using a toothpick or small craft brush, dab a bit of the flour and water mix onto each marked spot then drop a seed onto the “glue”. When its all dry, loosely roll the paper up and plant in your garden at the appropriate depth, paper and all. The seed will germinate on the paper and the newspaper will break down and add organic matter. This system requires less thinning as veggies grow. When picking newspaper to use, do not use the glossy color sheets
